Aprašymas
I have designed and developed many fly rod series throughout my life, and I have always had a deep and concentrated motivation to find ways to improve a fly fishing rod in order to give it a purpose and a “soul”. Making a rod that casts is something I consider really easy, however making it into an “efficient fly-casting-fishing-tool” is more complicated than that. The scorpio series is developed with the best material that is available today - a mix between 40T and 46T of the finest carbon, fused with graphene. Intergrading graphene with carbon truly affects the way a blank performs.

SCORPIO - 12'3 FEET-5 PIECES - 24 GRAMS/370 GRAINS
Diversity is the word that comes to mind when we cast this rod. The scorpio 12’3” 24 grams/370 grains is most likely the best line weight and size of rod you can own - especially if you just want one rod to cover many different situations throughout your fly fishing season. This blank is powerful without compromising gentleness, and therefore perfect for elegantly presenting smaller tubes and hook flies over many different distances. Line and reel recommendation:
Logic heads – 24 grams/370 grains
Short-cut heads – 24 grams/370 grains
Logic RL. 0.030
Salmologic reel size no. 3
SCORPIO - 12'8 FEET-5 PIECES - 26 GRAMS/401 GRAINS
If you want flawless angling on medium salmon rivers, or large rivers in summer conditions, the rod is ideal. It has plenty of power and is simultaneously extremely precise due to the way the blank is dampened when the rod is being stopped. With this particular size, you really feel the full benefits of the graphene and quality carbon combination. It is truly surprising how this rod can handle big fish with impeccable ease – and yes, we actually did try this several times under the final testing. Line and reel recommendation:
Logic heads – 26 grams/401 grains
Short-cut heads – 26 grams/401 grains
Logic RL. 0.030
Salmologic reel size no. 3
SCORPIO - 13'2 FEET-5 PIECES - 28 GRAMS/432 GRAINS
This rod is meant for medium to large salmon rivers and is our most sold rod size for salmon. We refer to it as “the all-rounder” salmon rod. It makes distance and precision easy to master and it is a light salmon rod that casts a relatively light line. You can cast it all day long without losing your focus on the fly, which really proves that fly fishing for salmon does not have to be hard work. Line and reel recommendation:
Logic heads – 28 grams/432 grains
Short-cut heads – 28 grams/432 grains
Logic RL. 0.032
Salmologic reel size no. 4
SCORPIO - 13'2 FEET-5 PIECES - 31 GRAMS/478 GRAINS
All the rods in this series are named scorpio, however I was tempted to give this rod a different name – Explosive with a short fuse – that name would be too long, but it describes this rod very accurately. Scorpio 13’2” 31 grams/ 478 grains is the perfect choice for salmon fishing in large rivers in spring and in early summer conditions. It is a very light rod but possesses plenty of “muscles”, and the best part is … you hardly have to exert any effort to find the energy and power in this rod and to activate it when needed. Line and reel recommendation:
Logic heads – 31 grams/478 grains
Logic RL. 0.034
Salmologic reel size no. 4
SCORPIO - 13'6 FEET-6 PIECES - 33 GRAMS/509 GRAINS
I have always admired how a long line travels through the air when cast the old traditional Scottish way using a long belly line setup. However, I have never liked the effort that was needed to lift a long belly line and cast it. Handling a longer rod the Scandinavian way has always been more efficient and effective with a shooting head system, and especially when it comes down to how the fly is fishing. With the combination of graphene and carbon, we have succeed in developing a blank that can cast a shooting head out over the river (just like with the old traditional style with an efficient V-loop), BUT … carried out with a short efficient Scandinavian style stroke, which truly makes it a pleasure to fish the bigger rivers. Scorpio 13’6” is a rod where the best of two styles, old style Spey casting and modern Scandinavian style, are integrated to bring out the best in both of them. This rod is very addictive, not only to fish, but also to cast. Basically, the only difference between the scorpio 13’6” 33 grams/509 grains and the scorpio 14’0” 35 grams/540 grains is the length of the rod and the line weight. Line and reel recommendation:
All Logic heads – 33 grams/509 grains
Logic RL. 0.034
Salmologic reel size no. 4
SCORPIO - 14'0 FEET-6 PIECES - 35 GRAMS/540 GRAINS
